Frances is a stylist native to Puerto Rico, where she studied at the Modern Hairstyling Institute and continued her education in Aurora, CO at the Avalon Institute before finding her home at The Station.
Expertise: Frances specializes in dry curly cuts and helping clients start their journey towards healthy curly hair. She believes in a thorough consultation so each client receives their dream cut, as well as a thorough education regarding hair care, upkeep, and product use so that clients can make sure every day feels like they just stepped out of the salon.
Experience: Frances has helped hundreds of individuals transition to loving their curls through her Instagram after she made her own transition several years ago, recovering her curls from heat damage. Before deciding to go to Cosmetology school Frances was a professional make up artist, but after making her own hair transition she found her passion for helping others do the same and has been constantly striving towards that goal since. In knowing her goals, and with her online network, Frances was able to gain experience with every kind of curl imaginable, from some of the most diverse hair types you can find on her home island of Puerto Rico, to the people of the Front Range. Frances has a passion for and experience with all curls, and with helping her clients achieve their vision, whatever it may be.
Special Training: She is trained and certified in the Rëzo Cut. A technique intended to optimize the volume, texture, and shine of curly hair, with the goal being to maintain both length and volume. She has experience ranging from the tightest curl to the loosest.
Because she is trained in Rezo, Frances can now offer RezoLites – a special hair coloring service that is specifically designed for natural hair textures. Similar to the RezoCut, the RezoLites technique takes into account that every curl pattern is unique and should be colored in a custom way as well. Overall, it’s a combination of woven highlights and bayalage techniques for a highlight effect that makes your curls POP! Perfect if you want a look that is low maintenance with a seamless grow out.
